About The Computer Science Coach

Computer Science education is growing at an exponential rate. There's never been a more exciting time to be in CS education! That said, it can be overwhelming for new CS teachers to identify which resources are right for their students, and how to use those resources effectively. As a veteran teacher and coach (hence the name), I know what it's like to have more things on your to-do list than you have time to do them in. Over the years I've found what works for my students and would like to help you do the same. My students average a 93% pass rate on the AP exam and in 2022 I had a student get a perfect score on the AP Computer Science Principles exam. Not just a 5, but a legit perfect score! Whether you're a brand new CS looking for a lifeline, or a veteran CS just looking for some fresh ideas, I hope this site and my tutorials and resources can be of use. Hint --the tutorial videos make for great sub plans when you have to miss school to take care of a sick kid! To the students who found this page, thank you!
